LIFE OF THE RED PANDA

Red pandas live in the mountains of Nepal and northern Myanmar (Burma) as well as in central China. The red panda eats bamboo, insects, fruit, small tender shoots, and leaves. The red panda’s top predators are the snow leopards and martens.

THREATS TO THE RED PANDA

Red pandas are facing extinction mainly because of deforestation. Deforestation is when people cut down trees. They spend most of their time in trees where the moss is. If we cut down trees, they have no place to live, so don’t cut down trees!
