THREATS

Here is what is hurting them: trash, pollution, habitat loss, storms, non-native animals, and fishing equipment. Northern Royal Albatrosses eat the trash by accident. Then it blocks their digestive track. Then they feel too full to eat food, and starve themselves to death. Fishing lines with baited hooks attract them. Then they eat the hooks and the bait, and they choke on the hooks until they die.
